Typhoon warning! This year's 11th typhoon Noul formed from a low-pressure area that began on the eastern side of the Philippines and became a tropical storm on September 16th. It was strengthening in the South China Sea and moving northwestward bringing wind, rain, waves and high tides to Guangdong.

Although the typhoon is forecast to arrive Vietnam on Friday and will not land in Guangdong, its outer circulation can trigger gales and rainfalls of many parts of the province from September 18th to 19th.
Due to Noul, strong winds will affect the seas of Guangdong, the South China Sea, the Qiongzhou Strait, and the Beibu Gulf on Friday and Saturday. From September 18th to 20th, southern cities or counties and the Pearl River Delta will see heavy rains or rainstorms, other areas of the province will receive scattered showers.
In short, rains will be brought to most parts of the province, don't forget to take an umbrella when going out this weekend.
